About Me
Hi, I'm Leah.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I'm a queer, neurodivergent, mentally ill 30-something goblin who loves horror media and art. I wanted to create an online space to: write down and organize my thoughts, archive my crochet and collage projects, and generally inspire me to be more creative in my day-to-day life. So, I made this!
Here are some of my interests:
General Interests: horror and sci-fi media, oddities and curiosities, fiber and paper arts, researching the supernatural, antiquing and thrifting, curating playlists, playing video games, finding new recipes to try with my wife, and spending time with our two cats (Lily and Lumi).
Movies: Suspiria (original and remake), Pulse (Kairo), Cure, Mulholland Drive, Malignant, Noroi: The Curse, Paris is Burning, Stop Making Sense, Pan's Labyrinth, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, Silence of the Lambs, and Banshee Chapter. I also really like Thirteen Ghosts and the Resident Evil movies with Milla Jovovich (despite my better judgement). My favorite movie of all time is Scooby Doo on Zombie Island.
Books: A Psalm for the Wild-Built and The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, Strange Pictures by Uketsu, The Mothman Prophecies by John Keel, The Employees by Olga Ravn. I'm always looking for new recommendations, so send them my way if you have them!
Music: Dir en grey, sukekiyo, Nightmare, Akira Yamaoka, Talking Heads, The Chameleons, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Drab Majesty, She Past Away, Molchat Doma, Massive Attack, R. Missing, And One, The Lemon Twigs, The Mountain Goats, etc.
Games: The Silent Hill series is my absolute favorite, especially 3. I also like Resident Evil (especially 7), Fatal Frame, Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Control, Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Civilization (especially V).
